Alec Prinze

Alec Prinze,

AAMS® CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Founder, Prinze Foundational Planning
Wealth Advisor, RJFS

Alec specializes in providing comprehensive wealth management to a select group of high-net-worth families, individuals such as tech industry executives, and recipients of sudden wealth. He intentionally limits the size of his practice to just 100 clients due to the demands of wealth and complex financial situations that require more sophisticated strategies and a greater investment of his time.

His patience and empathy go a long way in building close professional relationships with his clients, and they appreciate his responsiveness and willingness to always go the extra mile.

On any given day, you will find Alec developing and revising financial plans to attempt to maximize cash flow while mitigating risk and tax exposure; evaluating, designing, implementing and reviewing client portfolios; and consolidating assets and optimizing intergenerational wealth transfers.

As an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM, he is well-versed in key areas such as investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues. He puts tax efficiency at the forefront of all portfolio construction and collaborates with his clients on using charitable giving strategies to preserve their wealth.

Alec also understands that family wealth is often concentrated in a single stock, inherited or earned, during a successful business career. He can provide a variety of strategies that can help hedge, monetize, diversify or transfer the position while managing the tax implications.

In addition, Alec educates and guides sudden wealth recipients on prudently managing and preserving assets acquired through the sale of a business, lottery, divorce or a legal settlement. He provides financial strategies designed to maximize impact and mitigate tax liability.

Alec wants his clients to be confident with their wealth, empowering them to make a positive impact on their community, country and world. His motivation to give back is a personally powerful one. While growing up, his family was reliant on the goodwill of others, and they were grateful for what they received. To this day, Alec returns the favor by helping others in need. He offers financial advice to his fellow veterans, regardless of their financial status.

Alec affiliated with Raymond James and founded Prinze Foundational Planning in September 2022, drawn by Raymond James’ ability to provide the wide range of products and services that his clients need, while offering him the flexibility to objectively serve the best interests of his clients without being tied to sales quotas or proprietary products.

Previously in his career, Alec was a financial advisor at Edward Jones, where he mentored and led advisors new to the industry. His analytical approach stems from his time working as a derivatives operations specialist for State Street Bank & Trust. Prior to entering financial services, he was the operations manager for Elevation Ten Winery. He served for four years in the United States Marine Corp as a corporal and field artillery cannoneer.

Alec graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in international business from California State University, Sacramento. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as a life and health insurance license.

Alec is originally from the small town of Linden, California, and now resides in the Greater Sacramento area with his wife, Alisa; their children, Theodore, Eloise and Nora; their dog, Zeus; and their cat, Gus.

Alec is an avid wine and culinary enthusiast and a builder and collector of all things Lego. He is fascinated by the development processes of movies and video games, describing himself as a huge nerd. He loves creating things with his family and watching their collaborative work bring something new to life. Alec was on the rowing crew in high school, leading to a lifelong desire of spending peaceful times on the water. He also loves taking family trips, and, depending on the season, you can find them on either the east or west coast or somewhere exotic.
